Wood as a Sustainable Resource

 Wood as a Sustainable Resource - One of the aims of FEI is :

“To increase the opportunities for people to learn about the link between the tree and everyday wood products and the social, economic and environmental benefits of wood as a sustainable resource, both locally and globally.”

Wood is a vital natural resource, and one of the most sustainable products available to us.  Woodland can provide a wide range of environmental benefits in addition to producing timber, which can be reused, recycled and regenerated.

FEI will support the development of cluster group projects that increase people’s understanding of the properties of wood and how it is used as a renewable raw material in many of the products we rely on in our daily lives.
