HomeFEI are working closely with the Scottish Forest Industries Cluster to improve on vocational and careers information in schools and to give young people the opportunity to have work experience in forestry. There are several pilot projects underway being delivered by Forestry Commission Scotland including a Workshop for Career Advisors and an “Introduction to Forestry” pilot course for secondary school students. These will help form models for FEI groups to use in future years.
