Description
Montgomeryshire FEI is a voluntary group comprised of individuals, woodland owners, Forest School practitioners, teachers and local organisations within Montgomeryshire. The group mets bi-monthly.

Our shared aim is to offer a wide variety of woodland based educational opportunities to individuals and groups in the Montgomeryshire area.

Participants will benefit from learning new skills and sharing new experiences, whilst at the same time, learning more about our diverse woodland environments.

Projects and activities can be designed around specific needs, which, in turn raise self esteem and confidence in the individual and so bring a life long appreciation of the natural world.

Several woodland sites in Montgomeryshire are being used at present, for children and young people to access a variety of activities from taster days to project based block or seasonal sessions, outreach sessions and one to one or special needs.

Recent FEI funded projects include "Forests to Furniture" co-ordinated by Nigel Phillips of Coed Cymru and "Seed to Saw for Rural Wales" co-ordinated by Evelyn Over, a local woodland advisor. Eight local schools are involved.

The cluster has also received funding from Environment Wales and HSBC. All are welcome to come along. Please ring for more details.
