Using the Learning Resources These resources provide a wealth of suggestions for activities focusing on trees, wood and paper, and the woodland environment, which will develop skills and knowledge across a wide range of curriculum areas. Most of the activities are specifically designed to meet the requirements of the national Curriculum of England and Wales and the Scottish (5-14) Curriculum.
Written by teachers, there are over 70 suggestions for activities which teachers can carry out with pupils individually, in small groups or on a whole-class basis. The resources include pupils' worksheets, teachers' notes and further activities for inside the classroom, and out of school. They help young people to appreciate how woodlands benefit our environment and provide a great setting for education and recreation, as well as much-needed jobs in the rural economy and many everyday essential wooden products.
